NetSuite consulting by industry You’re already on NetSuite. It isn’t running the way your operation does.

Most of our work starts after go-live: MRP nobody trusts, costing that drifts, reports that don’t tie. We go deepest in four kinds of operation and in finance and accounting, and we support NetSuite customers in any industry.

Where we go deepest

Five areas we know at the transaction level.

Four kinds of operation, plus the finance team that closes the books on all of them. Each one stretches NetSuite in its own way.

NetSuite for process manufacturing and Food & Beverage

Food, snacks, chemicals

In process manufacturing, NetSuite’s defaults decide more than your planners do.

Lead times, allocation windows and lot rules ship with values nobody set for your operation. We measure how your product actually moves, then tune MRP, ATP, lot control and costing to match, so the plan is one your team runs from instead of overriding.

Signs you need us

  • “MRP plans orders and transfers months out, and nobody knows why.” Usually NetSuite’s default lead times and allocation windows, never sized to how you actually ship.

  • “One raw material runs short, and nobody can say which customer orders it hits.” The BOM chain is never walked end to end. We trace it from raw material to finished good to the order that slips.

  • “Lot codes or expiry dates come out wrong on the second shift.” Date logic that assumes production stops at midnight. It is fixable without changing how the floor works.

What we have delivered

  • MRP, ATP and allocation sized to measured lead times
  • Finite capacity scheduling kept in sync with work orders
  • Work center and warehouse capacity planning
  • Lot trace and expiry rules that hold on every shift
  • WIP variance and costing that close cleanly
  • OTIF, ATP and demand planning dashboards
  • New brands and subsidiaries in OneWorld

NetSuite for discrete manufacturing

Equipment, furniture, marine and trailers

Manufacturers buy the most NetSuite and trust the least of what was built on it.

Work orders run, but labor, WIP and revenue reports disagree with each other and with the ledger. We rebuild the reporting so it ties to NetSuite’s own numbers, open up MRP so planners can see the math, and fix the third-party scripts the floor depends on.

Signs you need us

  • “The executive dashboard shows numbers NetSuite’s own reports don’t.” Custom reports that skip credit memos, hardcode a constant or miss a subsidiary. We rebuild them to tie to the ledger.

  • “Planners back-calculate the forecast to get the build they want.” MRP netting nobody can see into. We expose the math so planners load the forecast directly.

  • “Counts say stock is missing when it is really in the wrong bin.” Count variance read gross instead of net. Bin-level analysis separates misplaced from missing.

What we have delivered

  • Work order efficiency and labor reporting
  • MRP forecast loading for a target build
  • Count accuracy, bins and RF-SMART
  • Executive dashboards that tie to the ledger
  • Review and repair of third-party scripts

NetSuite for wholesale distribution

Importers, building products, tire and parts

Distribution runs on replenishment, margin and automation nobody has audited since go-live.

Rules get set once and drift as the business grows. We audit the account end to end, then turn the findings into a sequenced roadmap: replenishment sized to real demand, profitability on actual cost, and automation you can account for.

Signs you need us

  • “Nobody trusts the system enough to run replenishment from it.” Replenishment rules set once and never revisited. We size them to real demand and transfer times.

  • “The margin report never ties to the P&L.” Profitability built on estimated cost. We rebuild it on actual cost, so it ties to the cent.

  • “Scripts and workflows change orders, and nobody knows which ones.” Automation layered on over years. An audit maps every script and workflow that touches an order.

What we have delivered

  • Full-account audits with a prioritized roadmap
  • Replenishment by location and transfer order
  • Profitability on actual cost, tied to the P&L
  • Automation audits on orders, invoices and customers
  • Costing method migrations

NetSuite for retail & eCommerce

Stores, multi-location retail and service, Shopify, WooCommerce and SuiteCommerce

In retail, the stores, the webstore and NetSuite each keep their own version of the truth.

Orders, stock, tax and payouts pass through stores, connectors and gateways before they reach the ledger, and every hop is a place to drift. We trace one order from counter or cart to cash, fix where it breaks, and make NetSuite the record every channel reports to.

Signs you need us

  • “Payouts and deposits don’t reconcile to what the stores sold.” Connector deposit and payment mapping. We trace one order from cart to cash and fix the mapping.

  • “A store or van runs out while the warehouse has stock.” Location replenishment never set up. We configure replenishment by transfer order, location by location.

  • “Webstore payments fail and the gateway gives no clear reason.” Often a setting, not a bug, like an account type the gateway rejects.

What we have delivered

  • Replenishment by store, van or location
  • Shopify, WooCommerce and NetSuite Connector issues
  • Sales tax and connector tax discrepancies
  • Webstore payments: ACH, gateways and deposits
  • SuiteCommerce and SuiteCommerce Advanced storefront builds
  • Costing method changes for retail inventory
  • Invoice and order templates
  • POS integrations
  • Store-level sales and margin reporting
  • Returns, exchanges and gift cards

NetSuite for finance & accounting

Controllers and CFOs in any industry, including financial services

The close runs on spreadsheets that sit next to NetSuite, not inside it.

AR, AP, the bank and intercompany get reconciled by hand, and the reports leadership sees are only as good as the last export. We move reconciliations, payments and controls into NetSuite, and rebuild the reports so they tie to the ledger to the penny.

Signs you need us

  • “Month-end means exporting to Excel to reconcile AR, AP and the bank.” Bank feeds, matching rules and reconciliations never set up in NetSuite. We connect the bank and bring the recs inside.

  • “Vendors call to ask which invoice a payment covered.” Payment files that carry no bill reference. We configure Electronic Bank Payments and the NACHA file so remittance travels with the payment.

  • “The dashboard and the income statement show different numbers.” Reports built outside the ledger, with constants or missing transactions. We validate them against the income statement and close the gap.

What we have delivered

  • AR reconciliation and AR dashboards
  • AP controls: bill approvals and duplicate blocking
  • Account, bank and intercompany reconciliations
  • Intercompany processes across subsidiaries
  • Electronic Bank Payments and NACHA files
  • Bank connections: BAI2 feeds and Match Bank Data
  • Fixed assets and depreciation
  • New subsidiaries and multi-entity rollups
  • Financial history, open AR and open AP migrated for new entities
  • Budget vs. actual by custom segment
  • WIP and costing documented for auditors
  • Custom GL plug-ins
  • Month-end close acceleration
  • Revenue recognition (Advanced Revenue Management)
  • Consolidation and currency revaluation
  • Accruals, prepaids and amortization
  • Collections, dunning and cash application
  • 1099 reporting
  • Journal entry approvals and controls
  • Chart of accounts clean-up
  • Planning and budgeting (NSPB)

Beyond the core

Any industry that runs on NetSuite.

The work underneath is the same everywhere: a clean data model, reporting that ties out, and automation and integrations that hold. A few of the operations we support outside the areas above.

  • Biotech

Electronic Bank Payments set up so vendor payments run from NetSuite.

  • Nonprofits and associations

Budget vs. actual reporting by custom segment, with role-based access and Excel exports.

  • Chemicals

Fixed asset depreciation reconciled, and the depreciation error behind it resolved.

Not listed? If you run NetSuite, the same work applies. Tell us what is breaking.

Common questions

Frequently asked.

Do you only work with these industries?

No. We support NetSuite customers in any industry. The areas above are where we have the most repeat work, but the core of what we do (planning, inventory, costing, accounting, reporting and integrations) applies wherever NetSuite runs. If something is genuinely outside what we know, we will tell you before you spend a dollar.

We are already live on NetSuite. Is that too late?

That is where most of our work happens. Our clients are usually live for years, with a system that works, just not the way their operation does. We start from what is already there.

What does “industry depth” actually mean in practice?

That the consultant on your engagement has worked through your processes before and knows where a setup fights you. For a manufacturer that means MRP, WIP and costing. For a distributor it means replenishment and margin. You should not have to explain your own operation to your consultant, and you should not be charged to teach them.

Do you build industry-specific customizations or configure standard NetSuite?

Configuration first, always. Most industry requirements are met by features you already own but were never turned on or set up correctly. We customize when the standard platform genuinely cannot do what your operation requires, and we tell you which is which before any work is scoped.

See what your setup is costing you.

We spend 20 hours inside your NetSuite, map what is working and what is not against how your operation actually runs, and give you a prioritized roadmap before you commit to anything.
